Past and Present Stereotypes

A kötet különböző auto- és heterosztereotípiák segítségével azt a kérdést vizsgálja, hogy a történeti, kulturális, földrajzi, nyelvi kontextus milyen módon és eszközökkel határozza meg a társadalmi-kulturális tudásra vonatkozó ismereteket. Hogyan járul hozzá akarva-akaratlanul a néprajzi-antropológiai kutatás a kulturális sztereotípiák kialakulásához, terjedéséhez, de egyben mit tehet lebontásuk, valamint az általuk jelzett kulturális tartalmak sablonoktól mentes megfogalmazása és közvetítése érdekében? Különböző társadalmi csoportok, közösségek történeti és mai, nemzeti, etnikai, vallási, nyelvi, vizuális sztereotípiákkal kapcsolatos kutatásairól tartalmaz tanulmányokat. Melyek a kulturális örökséggel, a muzealizációval kapcsolatos sztereotípiák? Hogyan jelennek meg a múzeumi kiállításokban a pozitív vagy negatív sztereotípiák és az ezzel kapcsolatos reflexiók? Hogyan jelentkeznek a csoportsztereotípiák a múzeumi-kiállítási reprezentációban? Ezekre a kérdésekre is választ keresnek a magyar és finn szerzők tanulmányai.

A kötet szerzői elismert finn és magyar néprajzkutatók: egyetemi oktatók, muzeológusok, kutatóintézeti munkatársak, közöttük az ígéretes fiatalabb generáció képviselőivel.
