The Discrete Charm of the Ordinary

As the fourth installment of the Contemporary Approaches series, we present three works by American ceramic artist Emelia Hiltner. Her pieces are unique artworks, yet their patterns make them feel like part of a series. They are not mere decorative objects but rather ornate everyday items. During the guided tour, we will explore the beauty hidden in simplicity and learn the difference between a series and a set.

At the end of the tour, Emelia will share insights into her distinctive creative process and—perhaps most fascinatingly—her passionate love for Hungarian folk ceramics as an American artist.
