Guided tours now available in 10 languages, including sign language

In 2025, the Museum of Ethnography launched its first training programme for professional tour guides, offering them the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the museum’s permanent exhibitions in close collaboration with the curators. The programme attracted a large number of applicants, and by the end of the training, over twenty participants were officially authorised to lead tours for both Hungarian and international visitors.

Thanks to this initiative, guided tours are available in Hungarian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Chinese, German, Serbian, and Croatian for the Collection, Zoom, and Ceramics Space exhibitions.

A particularly important development is that tours can now also be requested in Hungarian and international sign languages, further enhancing the museum’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.
