In Search of Adventure

Count Rudolf Festetics of Tolna's Yourneys in the Pacific 25/Apr/2003 - 28/Sep/2003
Count Rudolf Festetics is a historical character who has unfortunately been largely ignored by Hungarian ethnographers. Festetics lived in the Pacific region between 1893 and 1898 at the time when explorers Sámuel Fenichel and Lajos Biró worked in New-Guinea, though the nature and purpose of the Count's journeys were wholly different from those of the latter voyagers.

With a considerable fortune to back him, the count was able to sail around the world with the sole intent of satisfying his own appetite for adventure.
